As I mentioned last week, I will be sharing with you my favorite and helpful resources and products that I currently am using, have used and plan to use. I will only share the products that I believe is a good product!
Let's start with some of my winter reading:
I just ordered these books 2 weeks ago and have been reading them nightly. And I have been enjoying them so much! I know very little about herbs, I've grown your basic culinary herbs, but this year I intend to expand my herb growing skills and I have found these books to be the perfect ones to learn to do so! Rosemary Gladstar teaches you about the herbs, how to grow the herbs and how to use the herbs! If you are wanting to learn how to take charge of your health naturally, I highly recommend you check out these herbal books! I know I will be using them all year!!
Here's a favorite from my kitchen this week:
So your probably wondering why I'm posting on a tomato press this time of year, right? Well, thats because a farmer friend of ours just gave us the last of his winter apples. So of course, I pulled out the tomato press and used it to make apple sauce that I then cooked into apple butter! I mentioned the usefulness of this press HERE. It is one of my favorite kitchen items! I've used it for pureeing pumpkin to have fresh pumpkin, or pumpkin butter, applesauce, apple butter and tomato sauce. It is so easy to use, my kids even get involved and take turns making sauce!
