I love a good salad, I just dont like getting out all the ingredients, washing, cutting, chopping and everything else that goes along with making a salad. And thats just the veggie part! I like to have some 'meaty' add ins to keep me going longer and not searching for a snack later. But unless I have leftover chicken or beef from dinner the night before, I'm stuck with lettuce and ranch!! Until now.....

I love having a green smoothie for breakfast, or even throughout the day, but I've encountered a few problems with having green smoothies.... Not with the smoothies themselves, but with convenience of making one and I don't like to go shopping often so I tend to stock up on bananas and spinach, and we all know that both of those don't last very long. Therefore, I came up with a way that I can have a green smoothie at any time of day and my produce isn't going bad!

A few years ago, some friends of ours took us to PF Chang's. If you have ever been there, then perhaps you have tried their chicken lettuce wraps. Well, if you haven't, just take my word for it, they are delicious! After having them, I was inspired to see what kind of lettuce wraps I could make.
So I started with family taco night, and made my own low-carb Taco Lettuce Wraps...
I love the smell of warm bread baking in the oven, or a big bowl of pasta topped with my favorite sauce, oh, but I dont love what it does to my hips, my blood sugar levels, my energy levels or the bloated feeling I get from eating it! So, we are gonna talk about Cutting the Carbs!

OK, you get my point! This weeks Make a Change is WATER!! We all know this, we have all read "drink 8 glasses a day!", we know that we are supposed to drink plenty of water... But do we? If we all kept track each day, most of us would only reach half way to our needed water intake. Now this isn't just a post to tell you to drink more water, I'm going to give you some surprising facts about dehydration. You will be amazed at what symptoms are caused from not enough water intake.

Actually, I love all of the seasons! I love Spring for new life, green grass, warm sun and sowing seeds. I look forward to summer and getting a farmer's tan from endless hours spent gardening, cutting grass, pulling weeds (hopefully not so much this year! I have a plan!!). Fall time is filled with harvesting and canning and enjoying the blessing of the year's hard work! I hope you all will join me throughout this year, its gonna be busy and like I said 'I have a plan!'. And that's why I love winter!....
